I had to post pictures, this was a rewarding project. Today we installed the pressure accumulator for our fresh water system, of course the quick connect fittings always seem to have some leaks, the plastic threads are incredibly easy to cross thread, anyway,  the battery bank needs some work also, mainly to keep it secure in heavy seas. The most difficult task is organizing and utilizing odd shaped storage spaces,.... trying to find the right place for everything. Time to take the dogs out, 3:30, Jack starts getting rowdy, and it's dark in an hour!

12/21/12

We're still here!
It's hard to believe we've been living aboard for four months; We've spent most of the time doing small projects, and research for the big ones. Today was one of those projects. We successfully, and without injury, loaded 300' of 3/8" chain into the boat with the electric windlass. It went through the winch and into the locker perfectly! The other project for the day was installing our house-bank; four 6V Deep Cycle batteries. There's a locker above the bilge pump where they fit, and still allow access to the bilge. I used only stuff that came with the boat, and fabricated a good hold down system. They're secure, next project; getting it all connected
We need to remind ourselves to go sailing! Projects are good, but we need to take our new house for a ride!
Karin is baking a chicken in the oven.....it smells great!
Gotta go........

We're in the marina and the wind is howling. I can't imagine what it will be like when we are anchored in weather like this, but I'm excited. I can't wait to start this adventure. Being in the marina is like having a really cool RV and camping in the backyard with it, kinda glad to be in the marina right now though.....
